Anne D’Alleva, former provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Connecticut, was named the eighth president of Binghamton University on Aug. 19.

Madison Silvert was inaugurated as the sixth president of Brescia College in Kentucky on Aug. 15.

Jenny Smulson became interim executive director of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities on Aug. 15 after Michael J. Garanzini announced he was stepping down as president.

Michael Steiper became the seventh president of Purchase College on Aug. 11. Steiper previously served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the City University of New York’s College of Staten Island.
