Patna: An eight-year-old student, Dilkhush Kumar, died under mysterious circumstances at a private residential school in Nalanda district late Saturday night.

The school’s officials claimed the child fell from the roof and sustained severe injuries, leading to his death during treatment at Pavapuri Medical College, Nalanda.

However, the family alleged that the child was murdered as body had injuries and bruises, suggesting that he was physically abused.

A case was registered against the school’s operator, warden and teachers, said Rajgir SDPO, Sunil Kumar Singh.
