Dhanbad/Ranchi: The Springer Nature India Research Bus Tour, organised in collaboration with the ministry of education, arrived at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, on Wednesday as part of its ongoing nationwide initiative to strengthen India’s research and innovation ecosystem through open-access publishing.

Launched on October 6, the tour will continue till November 11, 2025, covering seven states, 17 cities, and 29 leading academic institutions, with a special emphasis on engaging researchers in the north-eastern region.

The event in Dhanbad commenced with a tree plantation and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a series of technical workshops and interactive sessions led by springer nature experts. The discussions focused on research ethics, editorial practices, and the growing significance of open-access publishing in democratizing knowledge.
