Saudi Arabia Launches Scholarships for International AI and Data Science Studies, ETEducation
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has opened applications for a new scholarship programme enabling Saudi students to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in data science and artificial intelligence at leading international universities.
The initiative seeks to build national talent in data and AI, fields recognised as critical to the Kingdom’s economic transformation under Saudi Vision 2030. By equipping students with advanced skills under the mentorship of world-class professors and researchers, the programme aims to strengthen the country’s competitiveness in a labour market increasingly shaped by digital technologies.
As part of the scheme, students will also benefit from an association for data and AI scholars, research groups, and guidance workshops designed to boost collaboration and scientific output. Beneficiaries may also contribute to the development of technical solutions in partnership with SDAIA and its affiliates.
The scholarship programme stems from a memorandum of understanding signed between Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan and SDAIA President Dr Abdullah Alghamdi during the third edition of the Global AI Summit in Riyadh last September.
Applications are available through SDAIA’s official website.
