Rajasthan Education Minister Exposes Teacher Negligence During Surprise School Inspections, ETEducation
Jaipur: School education minister Madan Dilawar Thursday made a surprise inspection of three schools in Jaipur and found some teachers roaming around while the national anthem played. An irked Dilawar instructed officers to act against them.
He also found that teachers were taking mobile phones into classrooms instead of submitting them at the principal’s office. He expressed displeasure and warned of action against such teachers as well.
The minister inspected Govt Girls Senior Secondary School in Bani Park, PM Shri Govt Senior Secondary School in Gangauri Bazaar, and Mahatma Gandhi School in Ganpati Nagar.
At the govt school in Bani Park, out of 37 staff, only seven teachers were present, while principal Sunita Malhotra was on leave without approval.
When the national anthem started during the prayer meeting, Ayesha Aziz, a senior teacher, and Pushpa Lata Pandey, a Sanskrit lecturer, were seen roaming around instead of standing in one place.
At the govt school in Gangauri Bazaar, the minister found that most of the teachers kept their mobile phones in the classroom.
“Order has been issued earlier that no teacher will use mobile in the classroom, but despite that such a large number of teachers are bringing mobiles to classes,” said Dilawar.
At the govt school in Ganpati Nagar, only 12 out of 24 teachers were present in this school.
Dilawar directed the district education officer for secondary education to prepare a report for the entire inspection and submit it at the earliest.
