
Now Live: Khan Academy’s New TEKS-Aligned Geometry and Precalculus Courses

Texas high school educators, we’re excited to announce the launch of Khan Academy’s TEKS-aligned Geometry and Precalculus courses designed specifically to support the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards for high school mathematics. These courses are made possible thanks to the ExxonMobil Foundation.
These comprehensive, rigorous courses cover all required content while helping students build deep conceptual understanding and strong problem-solving skills. With a focus on both clarity and challenge, they’re designed to prepare students for success in advanced math and beyond.
Geometry that builds mathematical thinkers
The new TEKS Geometry course emphasizes reasoning, logic, and proof. Students begin by exploring patterns and relationships, then progress to writing formal arguments. They’ll practice forming conjectures, constructing examples and counterexamples, and developing complete geometric proofs.

Key features include
- scaffolding for geometric constructions, starting with guided diagrams,
- application of triangle congruence and angle relationships,
- discovery of key principles like Cavalieri’s principle, and
- real-world connections that strengthen spatial reasoning.
