Lucknow: On the 21st death anniversary of former MLC Ajit Singh, Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Friday paid floral tributes and unveiled a major educational initiative for girls in Unnao.

At a memorial meeting, Singh recalled his contribution as a dedicated public servant. On the occasion, meritorious girl students were honoured through the Ajit Singh Memorial Trust, with Singh extending best wishes for their bright futures.

Reaffirming his focus on education and empowerment, Singh announced the establishment of Digital Libraries in 10 girls’ colleges of Unnao through the Maa Peetambara Trust. He said the move would connect young women with modern learning resources and build a strong foundation for the progress of society and the nation.

Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh and MLA Shrikant Katiyar were also present.

Singh said, “The love, trust, and support of citizens and workers are my greatest strength and it inspires me to serve society and the nation with dedication.”
