Lucknow: If you want to pursue two degrees together, one in online and other in offline mode then now it’s possible at Lucknow University. LU has opened an application window for admission to its online courses. Students already enrolled in any undergraduate or postgraduate programmes can take admission in these online courses along with work executives and other candidates who want to study online due to time constraints.LU is offering nine online undergraduate and postgraduate courses that can be pursued with on campus courses. The courses offered are BCom, MCom, MA in English, economics, Sanskrit, political science, master of social work, BBA and MBA.

“Our online courses are dual degree friendly which means they can be pursued along with ongoing degrees. This offers a flexible learning approach in which an enrolled candidate can study at one’s own pace and convenience, regardless of location. Also, we made its curriculum industry oriented in which focus is on developing practical skills essential for professional success,” said dean, academics, Prof Geetanjali Mishra.

She said LU’s online courses are equivalent to offline, on campus, regular UG and PG courses. The only difference is that in online courses students need not come to the campus. This offers a robust learning platform as all course content and assessments are delivered via a centralised Learning Management System (LMS), she said.

“We have developed a four-quadrant multimedia content, which means these courses follow UGC’s prescribed four-quadrant design (video tutorials, e-text materials, discussion forums and periodic assessments),” she said, adding that the courses offer a robust placement support that includes receiving assistance in navigating career prospects. This course ensures accessibility and affordability, she said.
