Govt school teacher makes kids massage her feet, ETEducation
Bhopal: A case has come to light of a teacher making a fourth-class student massage her feet in a govt school in the capital. A video of the incident went viral on social media. The case is from the Government Mahatma Gandhi Govt Higher Secondary School located in Gandhinagar.
The teacher posted in the school was sitting in the fourth class. During this time, she gave one of her feet to the student and started getting it pressed. Someone captured the video of the teacher getting her feet pressed by the student on his mobile and made it viral on social media.
On this incident, the teacher told her authorities that her foot was twisted in the pit, after which the children supported her and started pressing her feet.
After the video of the teacher went viral, questions are being raised about the education system being provided in govt schools.
“The teachers are making the children hold their feet in the hands of the children who have the future of the country in their hands, in whose hands there should be a pen and book,” said a teacher without quoting her name. Now it has to be seen what action the administration takes on this matter, she added.
According to the information, in the Govt Mahatma Gandhi School located in Gandhinagar, after lunch on Thursday, the children were studying quietly in most of the classes of the school, but there was noise in Class 4.
This is the only class in the school where children sit on the floor. The female teacher sitting on a chair in front had placed one leg on another chair, and a child from the same class was massaging her feet.
When contacted district education officer, N K Ahirwar said that the matter came infront of him and he would investigate the incident. “I am also told that the teacher was injured and students were only helping her. Nevertheless, we will conduct inquiry,” said Ahirwar.
The situation highlights the need for clear guidelines and training for teachers on maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring that the classroom remains a space dedicated to learning and development.
