
Girl schools get tablets in Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, ETEducation
Lucknow: The department of social welfare and Madad foundation signed an MoU under which 20 tablets each were provided to the Jayprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalayas in Gorakhpur and Maharajganj districts.
The project will be expanded to other schools in the coming months.
Minister of state for social welfare (independent charge) Asim Arun said that digital education has become essential in current times and, through technological resources, girl students will not only get quality education but will also become self-reliant and confident.
“This initiative is in line with the empowerment of girls and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and Digital India vision,” he further said.
