The Zones of Regulation is a widely used framework in classrooms and therapy settings that helps kids recognize their emotions and learn strategies for managing them. The approach groups emotions into four color-coded zones, each representing a different state of alertness or feeling:
- Blue = sad, bored, tired
- Green = focused, happy, content
- Yellow = stressed, excited, worried
- Red = angry, terrified, panickedÂ
