
Cultural Values Emphasized at Buxar Engineering College Event, ETEducation
Buxar: Govt Engineering College, Buxar, organised a two-day orientation and induction programme for newly admitted BTech first-year students from Sept 15 to Sept 16. The initiative was aimed at familiarising students with the institute’s academic and cultural ecosystem while promoting holistic development.
Principal Ram Naresh Rai and dean academics A K Tiwari outlined the academic framework and institutional ethos at the event.
Sessions covered the examination system, training and placement opportunities, library orientation, anti-ragging awareness, a virtual campus tour, as well as interactive activities on yoga, mental health, wellness, sports and cultural clubs.
On the second day, heads of departments, including humanities, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication, electrical, civil and mechanical engineering, along with units such as NSS and NCC, presented insights into their disciplines and opportunities for engagement.
Speakers from organisations such as Gayatri Parivar, Brahma Kumaris and ISKCON emphasised values and ethics. A highlight was a motivational session by Pundrik Shastri Ji Maharaj (Kashi) on “Ancient education and modern education”, blending powerful oration with bhajans.
