Kendrapada: The district administration of Jagatsinghpur suspended a lecturer on Monday for securing a job by submitting fake educational certificates and marksheets. The lecturer, Santosh Kumar Satapathy, was a lecturer in the commerce department of Balikuda college for the last seven years.

After verification of his certificates and marksheets, the fact-finding team and the principal of the college submitted a report before the Jagatsinghpur sub-collector to take appropriate action against Satapathy.

Acting on the report, the district administration suspended him. “We have directed the college authorities to lodge an FIR against the suspended college teacher at Balikuda police station. He has been asked to return their entire salary of seven years that he received from the govt,” said Prasant Kumar Tarei, sub-collector of Jagatsinghpur.
