25% of MBA seats at CoE under ACPC quota; CAT score mandatory, ETEducation
Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Ahmedabad, issued a press note on Thursday announcing that 25% of the total MBA seats at three Centres of Excellence (CoE) institutions in Gujarat — Nirma University, Ahmedabad University, and Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) — will be filled through the centralised ACPC admission process.
The remaining seats will be filled directly by the respective institutions through their independent admission procedures, though CAT scores will remain mandatory.
The online registration process for candidates seeking admission under the ACPC quota will be conducted till Feb 1. Only candidates who appeared for the CAT 2025 examination and fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria will be considered. The entire admission process will be conducted online. The total intake capacity of MBA programmes across the three participating CoE institutions is approximately 610 seats. Of these, 25 per cent, amounting to 153 seats, will be allotted through ACPC based on merit derived from CAT scores.
Officials clarified that Gujarat granted CoE status to around 10 institutions, but the ACPC-managed quota applies only to the three designated universities. The committee emphasised that the centralised admission process ensures transparency and merit-based allocation of seats.
Students were advised to carefully adhere to the registration schedule and admission guidelines, as failure to complete the online registration within the stipulated timeframe will result in ineligibility for admission under the ACPC quota seats at these Centres of Excellence institutions.
