Join the 3-Day Drameutic Workshop on Drama Therapy in Pune, ETEducation
PUNE: The School of Liberal Arts at Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU) by Dr. D.Y.Patil Unitech Society, is set to host a three-day workshop titled “Drameutic: Transformative Journey through Drama Therapy” from December 3 to 5, 2025.
Led by Mr. Deepak Pachory, a veteran of the Indian entertainment industry with over 20 years of experience, the goal of the workshop is to provide an immersive and reflective experience for participants to help them understand how drama and creative expression can be used as a form of therapy.
The workshop will explore Drama Therapy as a structured yet creative approach to self-exploration. Students will engage in activities that support emotional processing, self-exploration, social connection and personal growth.
Over the course of this three-day workshop, participants will explore diverse forms of storytelling and develop the skills to craft compelling narratives through multiple creative approaches. The sessions will introduce foundational concepts of storytelling while engaging learners in story creation through movement-based activities, role-play, and improvisation.
Designed for anyone with an interest in storytelling—irrespective of prior experience in theatre, performance, or therapeutic practices—the workshop invites participants to immerse themselves in an active, hands-on creative process. All that’s required is curiosity and a willingness to participate.
Dr. Somnath P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor, DPGU said, “In today’s fast-paced world, individuals often lack safe and creative spaces to express their inner experiences and reconnect with their authentic selves. Through this workshop, participants will not only learn foundational drama therapy tools through collective creativity but will also gain emotional clarity and a deeper connection with their inner selves.”
Positioned as both a personal growth opportunity and a professional asset, the workshop aims to prepare students for human-centric careers while equipping faculty with tools to foster more empathetic and psychologically attuned engagement in their academic environments.
