
“Alphadots” Is A Cool Idea For A Student Word Game
Bloomberg recently unveiled a new word game called AlphaBots.
You’re given a phrase hint for the word, and then shown a chart with the letters for the word mapped out a y axis showing the alphabet (see the image above).
It could be a fun game to play in class with teacher-designed clues and charts, along with students working in pairs with mini-whiteboards. Or even have students create their own.
The games on the site itself are too difficult for ELLs, but the concept is great!
