Ed Tech Digest | Larry Ferlazzo’s Websites of the Day…
Ten years ago, in another somewhat futile attempt to reduce the backlog of resources I want to share, I began this occasional “Ed Tech Digest” post where I share three or four links I think are particularly useful and related to…ed tech, including some Web 2.0 apps.
You might also be interested in checking out all my edtech resources.
Here are this week’s choices:
TasteAtlas is “an encyclopedia of flavors, a world atlas of traditional dishes, local ingredients, and authentic restaurants.” I’m adding it to The Best Sites For Learning About The World’s Different Cultures.
MyTypingJourney is a series of typing games. I’m adding it to The Best Sites Where Students Can Learn Typing/Keyboarding.
Detective Board is a Padlet-like tool. I’m adding it to The Best Online Virtual “Corkboards” (or “Bulletin Boards”).
The “Simpsons Magic 8Ball” provides a clip from The Simpsons to any question you ask. Let’s just say it providing some, ahem, interesting responses to my questions about teaching tvsimulator.com/says/

My Short Answer looks like it might be an engaging way to promoting writing in the classroom.
