Google’s New “Learn Your Way” Could Be Very Useful In Making Boring Textbooks More Accessible.
Google has had a very difficult time finding useful ways to use Artificial Intelligence. Their NotebookLM is somewhat useful, and their storybook application is genuinely great (see Google Has Often Failed At AI, But They Have Hit It Out Of The Park – For ELLs, At Least – With New “Storybook”).
Today, they announced a new tool that may end up being helpful to teachers and students.
Learn Your Way is designed to turn textbooks into interactive documents, which I’ve thought over the past couple of years could be an effective way to use AI.
A couple of other companies have already been trying something similar – Textbook Graph and AI Sheets.
I’ve embedded a video about Learn Your Way at the bottom of this post.
If you click on their link, you have to sign-up for early access. I’ll be interested in seeing how it actually works once I get invited to try it out.
I’m adding this info to The Best Resources For Adapting Your Textbook So It Doesn’t Bore Students To Death.
