
Ajmer university starts social media promotion to compete with pvt varsities, ETEducation
Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), Ajmer will now go high-tech and promote courses through social media platforms to compete with the private universities. The responsibility to create social accounts, post examination dates, admission procedures, and subject-wise details of departments will lie with the department heads of different streams and subjects, as well as the examination controller and registrar. They will also update activities conducted by different departments.Vice-chancellor Suresh Kumar Agarwal inspected the university Tuesday and directed the officials to put in efforts to make higher education high-tech and promote it on social media. “The youth at present want to know about the courses and govt scholarships and schemes; social media is the need of the time,” said Agarwal. The social media platforms will also post academic calendar for students can prepare accordingly. “Within seven days, the head of department and other officials have to start different social media platforms,” said Agarwal.
The VC also inspected the canteen inside the premises, and strongly reprimanded the staff for dirty toilets, and instructed them to make cleanliness a top priority. He checked the food products and expiry dates and talked to the students about the services. “I deputed Arvind Pareek as in-charge of the canteen to assure quality and cleanliness,” added Agarwal.
The VC also initiated a policy for timely attendance, placing registers at the gate of every office and asked the employees to sign in on time. If any teacher or employee is on leave, their application should be marked in the register. tnn
