As per a press note, the initiative is part of the Right to Education Act, 2009, and the Samagra Shiksha programme, which prioritize enrolment and completion of education for all children aged 6 to 18 years.
Chief secretary Alka Tiwari has issued a directive to all deputy commissioners, asking them to ensure successful conduct of the programme.
“The PTMs aim to connect parents with the teaching-learning process and help strengthen the educational environment in the state, ” the statement said.
