About Roar People and the Reflective Positivity® Program
When Roar People partnered with B Online Learning to deliver their Reflective Positivity® program, they needed a solution that could go beyond standard SCORM tracking.
The Reflective Positivity® program is based on the doctoral research of Dr Suzi Skinner and focuses on building a hidden leadership superpower: reflection as a muscle that builds performance and self-belief, through evidence-based practices that everyone can learn. It shows that leaders don’t just learn from experience – they learn by reflecting on experience. The program blends academic research with practical tools to help leaders strengthen their reflective focus, practice, and positivity, reflecting with others in very specific ways. Delivered globally, it equips leaders to lead change positively, foster psychological safety, build resilient teams, and support thriving, reflective cultures.
To bring this program to life online, Roar People required:
• Capturing reflections across 70+ survey questions.
• Analysing group and individual data across multiple dimensions.
• Providing individualised reports that guide individual and group coaching and provide insightful new perspectives in leadership development.
• Delivering a hybrid experience – online modules, surveys, live events, and coaching.
Building the Solution in Articulate Storyline
To meet these requirements, we developed a custom survey tool in Articulate Storyline that went far beyond standard multiple-choice tracking.
Using variables and triggers, the Storyline module captured more than 70 learner responses including free-text entries across the Reflective Positivity® Scale. The logic built into the course dynamically calculated results, assigned scores to key dimensions, and generated personalised feedback for each participant.
The real innovation came in two outputs:
- A personalised PDF report – At the end of the module, each learner automatically received a polished report summarising their reflections, scores, and tailored feedback. This gave participants something tangible to keep, revisit, and discuss with their coach.
- SCORM data tracked in Birch Learning Platform – At the same time, all responses and scores were pushed back into Birch LMS through SCORM. This meant Roar People could track not only completions but also qualitative and quantitative data at both an individual and organisational level.
The program provides value for learners and leaders alike: a personal report for the participant, and rich data for the organisation capturing relevant development themes at a group level, whilst maintaining participant confidentiality.
