With the changing dynamics of the corporate sector, career guidance has become the norm in international schools worldwide, to ensure that students are ready to manage the complexities of shifting work scenarios and possess the requisite knowledge and skills to cope with diverse demands. Consequently, in international schools, career guidance goes beyond fundamentals of admission, enabling the students to find out about their interests, develop core capabilities, and understand the array of career options available to them. It is about instilling a sense of responsibility for their future and offering the advice required to manage the intricacies of future growth.

Career counselling in international education is not a one-time intervention, but a long-term journey that begins early, often as early as grade 8 or 9, and continues through high school. Personalised guidance regarding coursework choices, testing, and university preparation is provided by qualified college and career counselors to students. This professional mentorship enables all students to create a plan that is prudent, goal-oriented, and responsive to change.
