To foster patriotism among children and youth, the Yogi Adityanath govt has asked all higher learning institutions (HEIs) to carry out the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in three stages.

In the first stage, from Aug 2 to 8, the walls of universities and colleges will be decorated with art based on the tricolour. HEIs will organise tricolour rakhi-making competitions and send rakhis to soldiers and policemen. In addition, HEIs have been asked to organise tricolour rangoli competitions.

The second stage, from Aug 9 to 12, will see HEIs hosting the Tiranga Mahotsav, which will include a grand tricolour-related musical concert.

The last phase will involve hoisting the tricolour at all academic institutions and celebrating Independence Day as a festival. TNN
