Katie Hull Sypnieski and I have written and edited a bunch of books, and we’ve just started on our next one!

Very tentatively titled “The Better Teacher’s Toolbox,”  and it will be for all educators.  We’ll share what we think have been the key reasons why we have been relatively successful teachers and what they might offer to others.

Jennifer Borgioli Binis will, once again, be our development editor.

Since I’ve just retired, that means I’ll have more time to work on it during the school year, so we expect to have the book out a full year than we had originally planned.

Look for it in March of 2027.

And, also because I’m retired, this is likely to be our last book together.  We think that one of the main reasons our books have been so good, and so popular, has been because we’ve both been active practitioners.  I’m confident that I’ll maintain my classroom teacher “edge” over the next year, but, after that, I suspect my insight will gradually (or even quickly) decrease, even though I expect to be teaching on a voluntary basis in the county jail.

However, this book won’t be the end of my writing – I’m planning to give fiction a try!
