The class XII Maths CBSE paper was moderate but lengthy. Only 2-3 questions on integral calculus seemed to be a bit tricky, but most of the paper was from PYQs and NCERT. MCQs were not lengthy and were based on concepts. The blueprint from the sample paper did not apply much to the exam since the distribution of marks was way different. Overall the questions were of moderate level.

Today’s Maths question paper contains 38 questions. The question paper is divided into five Sections-A, B, C, D and E.

In Section A, Questions no. I to 18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and questions number 19 and 20 are Assertion-Reason based questions of 1 mark each.In Section B, Questions no. 21 to 25 are very short answer (VSA) type questions, carrying 2 marks each.

In Section C, Questions no. 26 to 31 are short answer (SA) type questions, carrying 3 marks each. In Section D, Questions no. 32 to 35 are long answer (LA) type questions carrying 5 marks each. In Section E, Questions no. 36 to 38 are case study based questions carrying

4 marks each. There is no overall choice. However, an internal choice has been provided in 2 questions in Section B, 3 questions in Section C, 2 questions in Section D and 2 questions in Section E.

Students felt that the Integration questions tested the student’s depth.

The CBSE Class 12 Maths question paper was tougher than the CBSE Class 12 sample question paper. Question paper was also lengthy and time-consuming. Most students felt “Section-A” was difficult and time-consuming.

The questions on the exam ranged in difficulty from moderate to challenging. Most of the questions required students to use critical thinking and application.

Questions based on case studies was easy, as well section D was scoring and NCERT based.

Overall a challenging to moderate paper as far as the difficulty level is concerned, with a balanced approach for all kinds of students.

CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2025 Live:

The CBSE Class XII Mathematics paper was considered lengthy but moderately difficult, making it manageable for students. Most questions were taken from NCERT and RD Sharma textbooks. Across all sets, the questions were largely similar. The case-based questions were particularly simple.

According to Garima, Student, VidyaGyan School, ‘Set 2 was quite challenging especially mcqs. Almost all the 3 & 5 mark questions were from ncert.

According to Chandan, Student at VidyaGyan School, ‘Set 3 was easier. Mcqs were very easy just needed concentration calm mind to read the questions carefully.

According to Aakash, Student, VidyaGyan School, with the proper practice of ncert, getting 100 marks is very easy.

Overall, the paper was good, and all of our students did well.

CBSE Class 12 Maths Exam 2025 Live:

The Grade 12 Standard Mathematics paper was of moderate difficulty but lengthy. While some questions were straightforward, the exam required strong conceptual understanding and effective time management.

High-scoring students found 2-3 MCQs to be challenging, but the rest of the paper was manageable. Among the different sets, SET 1 was the easiest, whereas SET 3 was comparatively more difficult. In terms of sections, Sections A and E were more challenging than the others. The paper also included some Previous Year Questions (PYQs).

Student responses varied- while some found the paper manageable, some struggled to complete it within the given time. Shreya, a student, mentioned that the paper was easy except for 1-2 MCQs.

While students felt that the paper was slightly more difficult than previous years, they found it manageable because of prior practice. Many students noted that the study resources and practice materials provided by their teachers had similar or almost identical questions. This familiarity helped them approach the exam with confidence, making it feel simpler than expected. The paper was considered a bit lengthy, requiring efficient time management. However, since many questions were familiar, students could solve them quickly, reducing the impact of the length. Despite the initial perception of difficulty, students found the paper easy overall due to thorough preparation and effective guidance from their teachers. This feedback indicates that good preparation and relevant practice materials played a crucial role in helping students perform well, even in a slightly challenging and lengthy exam.
