Candidates are not permitted to have in their possession any book, memorandum or pocketbook, notes, paper, calculator, mobile phones or wireless devices, except the correct question paper.

Candidates using slide rules as permitted by the regulations must see that any information (formulae or other data) shown on them is securely covered.

Candidates are not permitted to have in their possession any weapon, object or instrument which may be used as a weapon.

“My exam went very well. Questions were easy. The grammar part was also good,” another student said.

The paper was good, easy, I have attempted all questions,” Palash Kashyap, who appeared for the English paper 1 exam at St. Xavier’s High School in Patna said.

Abhishek Anand, another student from the same centre agreed that paper was easy.

The ICSE or Class 10 English paper 1 examination ended at 1 pm.

The CISCE will conduct the ICSE or Class 10 English paper 2 (Literature in English) exam tomorrow. The paper will begin at 11 am.

The ICSE or Class 10 English paper 1 examination started at 11 am. The duration of this paper is two hours.

Candidates must put their signature on the top sheet of the main answer booklet in the provided space. They must not scribble anywhere on the top sheet.

Candidates are allowed to use only blue or black ink for the ICSE board exam.

Write your Unique ID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number and Subject on the top-sheet of the main answer booklet clearly and in the space provided.

Write these details on the front sheet of each continuation booklet, loose maps, graph papers, etc.

Before answering questionhs, candidates must read the instructions given on the first page of the paper, including the number of questions to be attempted. They need to answer only that number of questions as mentioned in the paper.

Candidates must sit in the examination hall/room 30 minutes before the exam starts. They are allowed to leave the hall/room only after the paper ends.

The exam will begin at 11 am and last two hours. In addition to the time indicated in the timetable, 15 minutes will be given for reading the question paper.

On the first day of their board exams, ICSE students will appear for the English Language (English paper 1).

The CISCE will begin the ICSE or Class 10 final exam today, February 18.
