Dhanbad: In a bid to tackle the acute shortage of faculty under Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU), colleges have initiated a teacher exchange programme aimed at optimizing existing resources.

The move, pioneered by R S More College, Gobindpur, and SSLNT Women’s College, Dhanbad, involves sharing teachers between institutions based on need and availability.

Dr Pravin Singh, principal of R S More College, said, “Under the proposed system, one teacher will serve in two colleges depending on the subject requirement and teacher availability.”

The initiative is seen as a practical response to BBMKU’s ongoing teacher crisis.
