The candidates can apply online for over 40,000 seats in UG, PG, and PhD programs offered by 106 affiliated colleges and 18 university schools (departments) through the official website (http://www.ipu.ac.in.)
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mahesh Verma, released the admission brochure (prospectus) on Tuesday. This year, the university will offer benefits for single-girl students as well as a sports quota for admissions. Additionally, some new programs will be introduced at the UG and PG levels.
New programs include a three-year LLB program, an MSc in Molecular Diagnostics, an MSc in Microbiology, BPT Physiotherapy, PG programs in Applied Geo-Informatics, and a PG Diploma course in Radiological Physics. As a result, the total number of seats will increase by approximately 250.
Last year, nearly 1,600 new seats were added. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mahesh Verma, mentioned that to promote education for girls, one seat in each program will be reserved for single-girl candidates.
Also, to encourage sports among students, admissions will be granted through the sports quota, with a maximum of 2% of seats in a particular program filled through this quota.
Admission to IPU can be done through several methods, including national-level entrance exams such as JEE Mains, NEET, UG, PG, CAT, CMAT, NIMCET, CLAT (UG-PG), and NATA.
Additionally, admissions will also be through the university’s Common Entrance Test (CET), CUET UG and PG, and merit-based eligibility exams for some programs. If seats remain vacant, CUET will be used for admissions to 20 UG programs and 18 PG programs.
CET Dates: April 26 to May 18
The Common Entrance Test (CET) for IPU admissions will be held between April 26 and May 18, with centers set up in various cities. A center will be established in any city where more than 50 applications are received.
MBA admissions will be through CAT, and LLB and LLM admissions will be through CLAT (UG-PG). Online counseling for these will begin on May 1, while online and offline counseling for other programs will start on June 2.
