IGNOU Admission Deadline: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for admissions to all ODL and online programs until February 15, 2025. This deadline is also applicable to re-registration for all programs. Earlier, the last date to fill out the applications was January 31, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the same through the official website. Students can now apply online for various IGNOU programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and doctoral courses, through the university’s online admission portal (https://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in/)
IGNOU Admission Deadline Extended: Here is what official notification saysÂ
“Please enrol yourself in an Online Program only if have access to computer/laptop/internet, and are comfortable with learning online. No printed study material is provided to students enrolled in the Online Programmes. If you are not comfortable with online learning, please enrol yourself in the programme in the ODL mode at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. DEB ID is mandatory for submission of application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process,” read the official notification.

IGNOU January 2025: How to register?
Firstly, candidates need to visit the official website.
Then click on the re-registration link available on the home page.Â
Enter your login details and click on submit.Â
Fill out the form and pay the required fees.Â
At last click on submit and save the confirmation page.Â
IGNOU Admission: Important points at a glanceÂ
The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
The fee paid shall be refunded prior to confirmation of admission.
An amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs 2,000 , will be deducted from the fee paid in case the request for cancellation is received after the confirmation of admission.
In case a student has opted for soft copy of the SLM, the fee paid will be refunded after deducting the Registration fee only.
If a request for cancellation is received from a student who has availed fee exemption and has paid only the Registration fee and Development fee, only the Development fee will be refunded.
No Refund of fee will be admissible after 60 days of the closing date of the admissions.
