State open school announces on-demand exams this year, ET Education
Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Open School is planning to introduce on-demand examinations this year. This initiative allows students to enroll for exams year-round and take them at their convenience. The move aims to support individuals who balance work and studies in completing their education. At present, exams are conducted twice a year by the state open school, once between March and May, and in Oct and Nov.
For this, software was developed by the education department, through which admissions can be processed throughout the year.
A question bank was also prepared for this initiative. “Most applications received with the state open school are from candidates who are already working or managing their businesses and want to complete their education along with it. This initiative is being planned to help such people complete their education so that they can clear the exams at their convenience,” said a senior official.
Officials said that till now, only NIOS (National Institute of Open School) has this option. This initiative is also likely to give more chances to students who want to clear class 10 or 12 to be eligible for recruitment exams.
