Govt schools go online during winter break, ETEducation
New Delhi: During the winter break, special sessions will be organised for students of classes IX to XII in Delhi govt schools.
These remedial classes are scheduled to run from Jan 1 to Jan 9, while the schools themselves will remain closed from Jan 1 to 15. Teachers said the initiative aims to help students strengthen their understanding of subjects and to improve their overall performance.
The classes will be conducted in morning and evening shifts to ensure that students can participate without disruption. Morning sessions will run from 9.30am to 12.50pm, while the evening shift will be held from 1.30pm to 4.50pm. Each class will be for an hour.
Special focus will be given to core subjects such as English, mathematics and science, while other subjects may be included based on the students’ needs and their performance.
Attendance will be monitored to ensure that students benefit fully from the sessions. The programme is part of the education department’s efforts to provide additional support during the break.
