
Research center granted to Visakha Engineering College, ETEducation
Visakhapatnam: The Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology has been granted a research center by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Gurajada Vizianagaram (JNTU-GV).
Permission has been given to establish research centers in the departments of mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and computer science and engineering.
With this, the college faculty members will have the opportunity to act as research supervisors. The college has informed students who have completed their M.Tech to make good use of this opportunity.
On this occasion, the college chairman G. Satyanarayana handed over the research center approval documents to Dr. D. Shantharao, head of the mechanical department; Dr. B. Jeevana Rao, head of the electronics department; and Dr. K. Tejaswini, head of the computer science department, and congratulated them.
Speaking at the event, the chairman advised that faculty and students should make the best use of this Research Center to enhance their technical knowledge.
The college principal, Dr. G.V. Pradeep Varma, remarked that faculty members should engage in research and develop consultancy services. R&D director T. Satyanarayana, heads of various departments, faculty members, and other staff participated in the programme.
