DM withholds salary of education officers, Education News, ET Education
Buxar: District magistrate, Anshul Aggrawal, during a review meeting of the education department on Wednesday withheld the salaries of block education officers (BEO) of Chausa, Simri, and Brahmapur for dereliction of duty.District education officer (DEO), Buxar, said that action was also taken against 11 teachers appointed with the same name and certificates, as well as nine absent teachers.
Action was taken against BEOs of Chausa, Simri and Brahmapur, as they could not give clarification regarding the action taken against the teachers. They were asked to give an explanation.
The DM also directed deputy development commissioner of Buxar to ensure that the pending cases before the planning units are disposed of within one party. The DEO of Buxar and district programme officer were asked to register FIRs against the teachers who were fraudulently appointed and recover money from them.
The DEO of Buxar was also directed to investigate the activities of tola sevaks and talimi markaz and take strict action in case of any irregularity.
